Embossed Frame

I made this card using an embossed frame by Craftwork Cards which was featured on QVC yesterday.  The flower was cut from Moorish papers using the Tim Holtz Tattered Florals die.  I fastened the four flowers together with a brad and attached the flower to the card with foam pads.  Finally I punched a scalloped circle from toning card and layered it with a sentiment before sticking it to the corner of the card.

The embossed frames are really lovely and they come in a pad along with 8" by 8" sheets of white card.  They are great for colouring with distress inks or chalks or look equally as good when used just as they are.

ATC - V is for Vintage

I chose Vintage as my theme for 'V'.  It doesn't show up too well but I used some My Mind's Eye paper as the background and overstamped it using Brilliance Pearlescent Crimson ink and my favourite Fancy Pants stamp.  I then inked the edges with the same ink.

The flower (cut using the Tattered Florals die from Tim Holtz) and the punched circle are Coredinations card.  The flower was embossed using the D'vine Swirls Cuttlebug embossing folder and was then sanded.  I also sanded the edges of the circle.  Again this doesn't show well but I put a little Rock Candy Distress Stickles on each petal and used my finger to spread it out.

Finally I added gold Candi to digaonally opposite corners.

ATC S

A change from Warren today - this is my S ATC for my card group.  I chose Shimmer and Sparkle as the theme.

I covered the ATC with some patterned glittery paper.  The large flower was cut using the Tim Holtz Tattered Florals die - I overstamped this with my favourite Fancy Pants background stamp and  sepia ink.  I cut the flower in half and attached the two halves as shown using foam pads and trimming off any excess.  The two cream flowers were punched with a Martha Stewart punch and I added Candi to their centres which I then embellished with glitter glue.

ATC - O

This time I chose 'Orange' as my theme.  I started off with some orange background paper and overstamped it using A Field of Sky stamp and Spiced Marmalade Distress Ink then inked the edges with the same ink. I cut the flower using the Tim Holtz Tattered Florals die and painted over it using Spiced Marmalade Distress Crackle Paint.  When it had dried I overstamped using a Fancy Pants background stamp.

The flower is stuck onto the card using foam pads to give a little dimension.  Finally I added Card Candy to the centre of the flower and to diagonally opposite corners of the ATC.  I used orange glitter glue on the Card Candy in the centre of the flower to add some sparkle.

Distress Inks

This card is definitely not my usual style but I did enjoy making it and am quite pleased with the result. I coloured the card blank using Distress Inks, then cut the flourishes and used the waste as a stencil. The flowers were cut from Grunge Board (this already had the embossed swirls on it) and I then used Distress Inks to colour them. I added a little Distress Stickles to the end of the petals on the middle flower. I punched a hole through the centre of each flower with a Japanese screw punch and then fastened all three together using a brad.

To finish the card off I stamped the wording using a Tim Holtz unmounted stamp but the least said about that the better!
