On the Edge - Elegant

This was made using a small On the Edge Elegant card blank in hot pink.  The papers I used are Glitz and Glamour from Craftwork Cards and work very well with the hot pink.

Black and Lime Patchwork

I pinched this idea from a card on the Craftwork Cards blog http://www.craftworkcards.blogspot.com/ but I have changed the colour scheme, used slightly different flowers and chickened out at the thought of edging the diamonds with glitter glue!

I used  a Ritzy lime 8" by 8" card blank and cut out 9 diamonds using the Patchwork Template from Craftwork Cards and Glitz and Glamour papers - 3 diamonds in each of 3 designs of paper.  When I used the template I drew round the shape using pencil on the back of the paper - if you are using paper with a random pattern this works fine but on text paper it may better to trace the shape lightly on the front to ensure the text is straight - mine wasn't and I didn't notice until I had stuck it onto the card!

The first diamond I stuck on was the centre one of the middle row, then I added the one above it and the one below and carried on from there, trying to make sure the spacing was even. I had to cut two of the remaining diamonds in half horizontally (one of each of the remaining designs) for the top and bottom rows.  I then added black Candi as shown.

The Retro Daisy and the two Spiky Flowers are attached using foam pads and I stuck pieces of lime Candi to the centre of each one.

Red, Black and Cream

This was another simple card to make - I love the colour combination and think it looks very effective.

I covered a square card blank with some Glitz and Glamour paper.  Then I used foam pads to stick the Retro Daisy and Spiky Flowers onto the card - I used 2mm ones on the Retro Daisy and 1mm ones on the Spiky Flowers to give different heights.  I positioned the Spiky Flowers so that some of the petals overlapped the edge and then I trimmed off the excess.  Then I added Card Candy to the centres of the three flowers.

The sentiment is an In Circle Message stuck to a punched scallop circle with double sided tape then attached to the card with foam pads.

Red and Black with Glitz and Glamour

I used a small square card blank as the base for this and covered it with one of the Glitz and Glamour papers.  The Spiky Flowers are attached to the card with foam pads and have Card Candy in the centre.   To make this a little different I positioned the flowers so that some of the petals overlap the edges of the card.

The sentiment is an In Circle Message on a punched scallop circle which is attached to the card with foam pads.  This card is very simple but I think it is very effect - I love the red and black combination and the Glitz and Glamour paper.

Black and Lime

I used three of the Glitz and Glamour papers on a small cream card blank.  I love the combination of black and lime so I used black and lime Spiky Flowers and Card Candy too.

Glitz and Glamour and Crystals

The lime card blank is from Craftwork Cards (of course) and I cut an 11cm square of Glitz and Glamour paper with chandeliers on which I then stuck to the card blank with double sided tape.  I stuck one large two small black Spiky Flowers to the top left of the card with foam pads and added cream Card Candy to the centres.

The In Circle message is attached to a punched scallop circle with double sided tape and the scallop circle is attached to the card with foam pads.  To finish off I added self adhesive crystals to the chandeliers.

More Glitz and Glamour

I used a pearlescent hot pink card blank as the base for this and then added three strips of Glitz and Glamour paper in in varying widths.  The die cut daisies are stuck on with foam pads and I curled the petals on them and stuck Card Candy in the centres.

The In Circle message is stuck to a punched scallop circle which was then attached to the card with foam pads.  Finally I added 3 pieces of Card Cady to the top left corner of the card.

Glitz and Glamour

As I've done so many cards recently using Confetti papers I decided to do something different today and chose Glitz and Glamour instead.  I also used a shaped card blank.

First of all I cut an 11cm square of the paper with words on and stuck it to the centre of the card using double sided tape.  I then cut a strip of the dotty paper and stuck it right across the card as shown using double sided tape and trimming off the excess.

I used foam pads to attach the die cut flowers and positioned them so that the two outer overlapped the edges of the card.  Finally I added Card Candy to the daisies and to the top corners of the card.

Special Day

This card was really easy to make. First of all I scored an Elegant Rectangle down the centre to make a card blank. I then cut 3 squares of Glitz and Glamour paper and stuck them to the card before adding Card Candy and a Beautiful Butterfly. Finally I tied some black grosgrain round the spine of the card.

And another.........

This card was really eay to use make but I think it looks very effective. I love this floral paper and the combination of black and hot pink. I added self-adhesive crystals to the chandelier die cut which finish off the card nicely.

Another Design Team Card

This is another of the cards that I made - this is one of my favourites. Although it doesn't show up, the Card Candy in the centre of the daisies has been covered in glitter glue making it lovely and sparkly.

Design Team Cards

Craftwork Cards have been introducing design team members on their blog. I was given papers and die cuts from the Glitz and Glamour collection and asked to make some cards using them. This is the first one that I made and it was shown on the Craftwork Cards blog a few weeks ago.

The Other Way Up

This is another Elegant Rectangle but this time it is portrait as opposed to landscape. The papers are from the Sugar and Spice, and Glitz and Glamour collections. The big flower is a die cut daisy with metallic silver Card Candy in the centre. I punched little daisies and added self-adhesive gems to their centres, and punched a scalloped oval from Sugar and Spice paper then added an Oval Message to the centre of it.
Again this hasn't scanned too well and looks better in the flesh.

Lime and Liquorice Again

Unfortunately the colours on this have not scanned very well - it does look much better in real life.

I've used a black Elegant Rectangle as the base card. The squares are paper from the Carnival and the Glitz and Glamour collection. I punched some little daisies from matching black card and used self-adhesive gems in the centre of them. The scalloped circle was punched with a Stampin Up' Punch , the black circle was punched with my new 1 3/8" circle punch and the the Happy Birthday is an In Circle Message

Lime and Liquorice

The idea for this came from a card I saw on Julie Hickey's blog. I love using squares but usually don't leave a border round the edge.

The papers are from the Glitz and Glamour collection and the Carnival collection. The butterflies were punched using a Martha Stewart punch and the scalloped oval with a Stampin' Up punch. The greeting in the centre is an oval message. Needless to say everything I used is from Craftwork Cards.

And again....

Here is yet another gap card mad with Elegant Rectangles. I love the combination of orange and lime. The striped paper is from the Glitz and Glamour collection, the lime paper is from the Carnival collection and the scalloped circle was cut with a Stampin' Up punch and is finished off with an In Circle messag. The flowers are from my Flower Store and have Card Candy centres embellished with glitter glue.
All paper and card is from Craftwork Cards - there's a surprise!!

And again.....

Another gap card but this time I used Beautiful Butterflies to fill the gap. The back of the card is a lime Elegant Rectangle and the front is a Hot Pink one. The striped paper is from the Glitz and Glamour collection and the lime foiled paper is from the Carnival collection. I punched the scalloped circle with a Stampin' Up punch and added an In Circle message to the centre. The card was finished off with three pieces of hot pink Card Candy down the left hand side.
Elegant Rectangles are my favourite Craftwork Cards product at the moment.

Another Gap Card

Here is another gap card. This time I have used a hot pink Elegant Rectangle for the back of the card and a lime one for the front. The striped paper is from the Glitz and Glamour collection and the pink foiled paper is from the Carnival collection. The flowers were from my Flower Store and I punched the butterfly and scalloped circle from matching lime card. The circle was finished off with an In Circle message and the flowers were finished off with pink Card Candy covered in glitter glue.

It goes without saying that everything used was from Craftwork Cards apart from the butterfly punch (Martha Stewart) and the scalloped circle punch (Stampin' Up).

Gap Card

Here is a 'Gap' card that I have made for a swap on my card group. This type of card was thought up by Julie Hickey and Paula Pascual and it really is lovely. The idea is to cut out a section of card to create a gap. This is then joined using die cut flowers or other embellishments.
I used two Elegant Rectangles as my base card and decorated the front one with spotted paper from the Glitz and Glamour collection and lime paper from the Carnival collection. I used matching flowers to fill the gap and added lime Card Candy embellished with glitter glue to the the centre of each. The scalloped oval was puched from the section of card that I cut out to create the gap and a I added an Oval Message to the centreof it.

Sneaky Peeks

I've been asked to do some samples for Craftwork Cards using their new Glitz and Glamour papers and die cuts which are really stunning. I don't know if I am allowed to put the cards on my blog yet but here are a couple of sneaky peeks.
