On Your Birthday

I used one of the Pretty Little Prints papers from Craftwork Cards as the background on this card.  The embossed white card, the mssage band and the sentiment, along with the paper were all part of the kit of the month.  The daisy is from the Retro Flower Store.

Thank You

Another very quick card using an Elegance card blank.  The daisies are from the new Retro Flower Store by Craftwork Cards and the message band is from the It's a Wrap Sentiments also from Craftwork Cards.  I curled the petals to add some dimension to the card.

Thinking of You

I scored the front of an Elegant Square blank and folded back the right hand section for this card.  I think the rest of it is fairly self explanatory.

The muted colours work well with the white flowers and sentiment.

Happy Birthday Sue

A little birdie told me that Sue Taylor from Craftwork Cards has a special birthday today!  This card is very similar to the one I made for Julie a couple of weeks ago for her special birthday but this is a completely different colour scheme.

Charlie

I've made this card for a special little girl.  Charlie is 6 and she loves making cards with her grandma.  She also likes Craftwork Cards products so I thought I'd make her a card using Sweet Meadow and some of the items from the Classics kit of the month.

Fruit Scoop - Thinking of You

This card was made using a DL Back to Basics blank from Craftwork Cards.  I pinched the idea of the ribbon from Julie Hickey - thanks Julie. 

The petals on the Retro Daisies are curled and the daisies are mounted on 2mm pads to add dimension.

Embossed Daisy Frame

This is something a little different - I embossed a large square scallop panel using the distressed stripes Cuttlebug Embossing Folder and used this as the background.  Then I gently rubbed a black Stazon pad over the top of an embossed daisy frame before cutting it in half diagonally and attaching it to the square panel.  Finally I finished the card off with three red Retro daisies with Candi centres.

It perhaps doesn't show too well on the image but I used 2mm foam pads to attach the outside two daisies and 1mm pads for the centre daisy.

Birthday Wishes

Another hot pink and black card made with a mixture of Très Chic and Fruit Scoop on a notch blank.

Très Chic - Just Because

I used Elegant Rectangles as the base for this card.  The chandelier has five self-adhesive crystals on it which add a little sparkle.

Fruit Scoop - Thank You

Another quick and easy card using Fruit Scoop and a 148mm square Back to Basics card blank.  The daisies are attached with 2mm foam pads to extra dimension and, although it doesn't show too well, I curled the petals on them.

Fruit Scoop - Retro Daisies

To make this card I cut a square of Fruit Scoop paper which was the same size as the card blank and then trimmed it down.  This design of paper made it relatively easy as the spots helped me to keep it even.  The good thing is that I can use the three remaining panels on another card - watch this space!

Although it perhaps doesn't show too well, the daisies and the scalloped circle are chocolate brown but this would work equally well with black.

Très Chic and Fruit Scoop

I used a combination of Fruit Scoop and Très Chic papers on this card.  The black scalloped circle, Tour Eiffel die cut, Retro Daisy and the Heartfelt Flower are all attached with foam pads to give dimension.

Très Chic - Nestabilities

This was made with a Top Notch Back to Basics blank although the bottom notch doesn't show on the scan.

I used a Spellbinder Nestabilities die (Labels One) to cut the hot pink and paper panels.  Once stuck together I attached to the card with foam pads.

Très Chic - Top Notch

I added strips of Très Chic papers to a Très Chic Adornment die cut frame which is the focal point of the card.  The edges of the Tiny Sentiment were inked with a black Stazon pad, although I don't think this shows too well on the image.

I tend to go for square or DL blanks rather than the A6 that I used here but I am pleased with the way this one turned out.

On the Edge - Elegant

This was made using a small On the Edge Elegant card blank in hot pink.  The papers I used are Glitz and Glamour from Craftwork Cards and work very well with the hot pink.

Très Chic - Happy Birthday

This card has scanned badly - the daisy is actually hot pink but it looks red!

I used the Labels One dies by Spellbinders to cut the word panel and the black panel which it is mounted on.  The card blank is an On the Edge Top Notch card but this hasn't shown up very well either.

Embossed Notch Tag - Number Collage

I pinched the idea of embossing these tags from a card that Julie Hickey had made - thanks Julie!  I thought that this embossing folder with numbers on it would be suitable for birthday cards.

The flower is one of the new foiled Retro Daisies from Craftwork Cards.

Trѐs Chic - Elegant On the Edge

This little card was made using a Craftwork Cards On the Edge Elegant blank in a lovely purple colour.  It is very simple and was quick to make but is very striking.
