I just love the curly whirly flowers from Craftwork Cards. I made this wreath using a mini kit which contained the flowers, the chipboard ring and some lovely ribbon.
First of all I sprayed the backs of all of the flowers using a Latte Glimmer Mists spray. Once dry I curled the petals and stuck the flowers together using Cosmic Shimmer glue - this is an amazing adhesive. It dries quickly, sticks really well and a pot lasts for ages.
I painted the chipboard ring with a silver Tim Holtz Dabber when it was dry I attached the ribbon. After I had glued the flowers onto the ring and added Candi to their centres, I sprayed the wreath with silver Spray and Sparkle 3 times.
Here's a picture of the finished article:

Quick Christmas Card
I made this card using 'Heartfelt Christmas' a Project of the Month kit by Julie Hickey of Craftwork Cards. The kit included the tree cards in kraft and in white along with plain white cards. I popped the hearts out of one of the kraft tree cards and embossed them using a snowflake Cuttlebug embossing folder.
Next I used an Ink Duster to brush over the shapes with Brushed Corduroy Distress Ink and I stuck 1mm foam pads onto the backs of all of them. Then I used the kraft cards that I had taken the pieces from and placed it over the top of a plain white card blank. This meant that I could stick the inked and embossed hearts and tree base down by placing them in the apertures of the kraft card and so the positioning was spot on.
I finished the card off with Candi, some lovely red ribbon and a Christmas sentiment.

Little Gift Bags
Another production line effort! These were actually pretty quick to make as when I made the wreaths in my previous post I had sprayed too many flowers so I used them for the bags.
I spotted this paper at a Craftwork Cards sale back in June and it has been earmarked for these bags since then.
All lined up together:

I've filled all of these with chocolates now and they'll soon be with the recipients.

Christmas Wreaths
I've been very busy making 14 wreaths - do you ever start something and wish you hadn't? They're all finished now though and I'm really pleased with them.
Earlier in the year Craftwork Cards sold some kits with all of the flowers, ribbon and chipboard rings needed to make these. When I first saw these I though there was no way I could make them but then I saw a video on the Craftwork Cards website by the very talented Karen Hayselden. After watching it and seeing everything broken down in steps I decided to have a go.
Popping out the die cuts and spraying the backs of them with Dylusions and Glimmer Mist inks was somewhat a marathon in itself.
Here's a picture of some of the finished ones piled up together:

I wanted the wreaths to sparkle but I didn't want to use loose glitter as it gets everywhere so I used Spray and Sparkle Glitter Varnish in gold from Crafter's Companion. It has given a lovely shimmering finish to the flowers and the ribbon.
I've also done some twelve little gift bags in the same colour scheme as the wreaths and will post these soon so please keep checking back!

With Sympathy
I needed a sympathy card this weekend and thought the muted tones of the Elegance Flower Pad would work well.
I also wanted to use one of the gorgeous curly flowers that I made after watching Karen Hayselden's video on the QVC website. The flower is the focal point of the card and I kept the rest simple.

Birthday Card
Here is a birthday card which I made using one of the embossed frames from Craftwork Cards. The flower was cut from the Pretty Little Prints papers using the Tim Holtz Tattered Flowers die.
The Candi in the centre of the flower matches the pink paper.

Sympathy Card
Here's a sympathy card which I needed to make recently. I used one of the frames from the Craftwork Cards pad of embossed frames and cut the flowers from the matching sheet of embossed card also from the pad.
Here is a close up of the big flower.

On Your Birthday
I used one of the Pretty Little Prints papers from Craftwork Cards as the background on this card. The embossed white card, the mssage band and the sentiment, along with the paper were all part of the kit of the month. The daisy is from the Retro Flower Store.

Daisy Squares
I cut some daisies from the Summer Afternoon papers and mounted them on squares of white embossed card. Inside the card there is an oval sentiment on a scalloped oval of the paler paper which says 'On Your Birthday'.

Happy Birthday
More Teresa Collins Summer Afternoon papers. I covered the card with the striped paper and added a panel using the reverse side.
The flower was created using two daisies from the Retro Flower Store by Craftwork Cards. I scored each petal down the centre, folded them on the score lines and stuck them together.
Finishing touches were Candi and a rub on sentiment.

With Love
I've used Teresa Collins papers on this card along with cream daisies from the Retro Flower Store by Craftwork Cards.
The pink and cream colour combination works really well together.

Pretty Little Daisies
A very simple card - I cut three daisies from white embossed card, mounted them onto the panel of Pretty Little Prints paper and added Candi to their centres and petals.

Pretty Little Prints
Craftwork Cards have just released a new collection called Pretty Little Prints. This card is made using one of the papers with an embossed Fanciful frame. I added three daisies from the Retro Flower Store with some of the new Candi in their centres.
I finished the card off using a scalloped circle punched from card matching the daisies and layering this with a birthday sentiment.

With Love
I used some Teresa Collins Summer Afternoon papers for this card. The delicate colours are gorgeous.
To give dimension to the flowers I scored down the centre of each petal and folded on the score line, then stuck two together.

Alfie
Today's card features Alfie from Craftwork Cards. You can buy rubber stamps of Alfie but I am not too good at colouring in so I cheated and bought a pack of pre-coloured images.
I covered the card blank with one of the Teresa Collins Summer Afternoon papers and added a second panel using the reverse of the paper. After sticking Alfie onto the card I finished it off with a sentiment and Candi.

Warren's Growing Carrots
Here's Warren again and today he is planting carrots. I chose the background paper to tie in with the carrots and used orange Candi too.
The image is layered onto a cream scalloped circle which matches the flowers on the background paper.

Embossed Frame
I made this card using an embossed frame by Craftwork Cards which was featured on QVC yesterday. The flower was cut from Moorish papers using the Tim Holtz Tattered Florals die. I fastened the four flowers together with a brad and attached the flower to the card with foam pads. Finally I punched a scalloped circle from toning card and layered it with a sentiment before sticking it to the corner of the card.
The embossed frames are really lovely and they come in a pad along with 8" by 8" sheets of white card. They are great for colouring with distress inks or chalks or look equally as good when used just as they are.

Union Flags
Here is a gift bag that I made using the same paper as in my previous post. The picture below shows the side view (complete with chocolate inside!).
I took this with me to Craftwork Cards as a gift for Sue when I went over to Leeds a couple of weeks ago for the Diamond Jubilee event.

Keep Calm .....
Something different here - I'm really into Union Flags at the moment! I started off with a 148mm square blank and trimmed it down to fit the paper. The sentiment was layered onto blue pearlescent card and attached with foam pads. I then added foiled Candi to the corners.

Sending Lots of Love
This was made with a pearlescent blue card blank. I die cut three daisies using embossed squares from the Sweet Pea collection and over stamped them using black ink and a French script stamp.
As the front of the card is relatively simple, I added a strip of patterned paper and a sentiment to the inside.

Less is More
I cut a lilac panel from one of the Sweetheart Buds papers and attached to an 8 by 8 white card blank. The hearts were cut using a Sizzix Bigz die and Sweetheart Buds embossed squares and were attached with foam pads (1mm ones for the outside ones and 2mm ones for the centre one to give varied dimension).
The In Circle sentiment is layered onto a scalloped circle punched from a lilac Sweetheart Buds embossed square.

Spring Fling
I used a Spring Fling card blank for this - these are coloured, patterned c6 blanks from Craftwork Cards.
The flower was made by scoring down the centres of each petal on two Retro Daisies, folding each petal up and layering one daisy on top of the other. I tied white grosgrain ribbon round the spine of the card, added self-adhesive pearls to the centres of some of the daisies on the card and finished off with an In Circle sentiment layered onto a punched scalloped circle.

Warren Makes a Comeback
The lovely Warren is here again. Today he is fishing in his little boat!
I've used a scalloped circle easel card, a pre-coloured image of the little man, some My Mind's Eye Sunny Side papers and Candi.

Birthday Wishes
This was made with Peas in a Pod. It doesn't show in the image, but the spine of the card is across the top.
The hearts were cut using the embossed squares and a Sissix Bigz Die.

Remembering ...
a special friend on her birthday.
I used the Spring Fling template to make the bowl from colour core card which I then embossed and sanded. Some of the daisies are glued flat and the others are attached with foam pads. The Candi is part of the Foiled Candi Store from Craftwork Cards.

Happy Birthday
Sweet Pea again and this time I used a loopy daisy but kept the petals flat rather than looping them under. The big daisy is attached with foam pads and the smaller one is just stuck down in the centre - although you can't see it very well I curled the petals up.
The sentiment is a dark brown rub on.

Happy Birthday Tim
I've made this for my friend, Tim, whose birthday is today - bet you can't guess how old he is!!
I am somewhat addicted to these die cut daisies and the frames and I kept the card simple - less is more!
Anyway Happy Birthday Tim, you old git, hope you have a lovely day xxx

Wedding Wishes
I put this card into a box frame which I had painted white. It's pretty self explanatory really and quite simple. The initials were cut using my Mac 'n' Cheese dies.
When I cut the strip for the pinwheel flower, I included a narrow border of lilac which looks good around the edge of the flower.
It has winged its way to Warwick and went down really well with the recipients.

Spring Fling
Something a little different today - this card is made using a Spring Fling blank and retro daisies. The half daisies are attached flat and the full daisies are attached with foam pads. The centres are punched from the strips which come with the Peas in a Pod die cut flowers as is the small panel with the rub on sentiment.

My Special Friend
I have made a few of these frames previously and mounted them on cards but this time I decided to make a proper photo frame. I knew straight away whose photo I wanted to put into it - it had to be my special friend, Tess.
The back of the frame is covered with with card and I added an extra piece to make it stand up on its own.

For Julie
Today I've been to Embsay Mill near Skipton to see Julie Hickey who was hosting a Candi party. I took her this card from the cats!
The bunting was cut from embossed squares and has small punched daisies between each piece I added lilac crystals to each daisy and used some small letter stickers to spell 'Julie'.
At the bottom of the card I added a strip of paper, a die cut daisy, a punched scalloped circle and an In Circle message.

Variation on a Theme - Two
This time I die cut 3 three pink daisies and three lilac centres from the embossed squares. I curled the petals and attached to the card with 2mm foam pads.
I used a panel of the striped paper for the rosette and when I cut the panel I included a narrow border of lilac which you can see around the outside edge of the flower.
This looks so different from yesterday's card and the Sweetheart Buds colour scheme looks so different without the green.
