Thinking of You

I made this card using Secret Garden papers from Craftwork Cards.

I actually used this as a sympathy card; the delicate, pastel colours work well.

Christmas Chocolates

Here's a couple of bags of chocolate mints that I decorated.  Each mint is sandwiched between two scalloped circles.  I then added a punched circle, a punched snowflake and a piece of Candi.

Finally I put them into cellophane bags and tied then with ribbon and a tag made from a scalloped circle, a punched circle and an In Circle message.  In total I made 13 of these bags in various colour combinations.

Advent Tree

Here's an Advent Tree that I made using a kit from Tando Creative and Frosty Papers from Craftwork Cards.

The kit and the mini advent numbers came from http://www.theverysmallcompany.co.uk/  I used Dylusions Primer followed by Coastal Blue Kaisercraft paint.  The numbers are painted with a  silver Tim Holtz Dabber and I painted them before removing them from the sheet.  I also used the Dabber to paint the top of the tree.

It did take a long time to make but it was worth the effort.

Happy Birthday Jeannie

I made this card for my friend, Jeannie - bet you can't guess how old she is today!!  She certainly doesn't look it!

Anyway, Happy Birthday Jeannie - have a fabulous day and enjoy your celebrations xxx

Birds on Branches

A very simple but effective card made using My Mind's Eye papers and a Stampin' Up punch of a bird on a branch.

Sunday 20 November 2011

Thinking of You

This paper is from the new Secret Garden collection from Craftwork Cards and it is gorgeous - delicate and glittery.  I made this card as a sympathy card - it hasn't scanned very well but is actually a lovely pale green.

Happy Birthday

These papers and the belt are all from the Shabby Vintage collection by Craftwork Cards.  In real life the card was straight but the I think I scanned it at a slight angle - oops!

Another New Home Card

More or less the same as yesterday's card but in a different colour palette.

Tuesday 15 November 2011

New Home

This 'New Home' card is made with an 8" by 8" blank from Craftwork Cards and ShabbyVintage paper also from Craftwork cards. The belt, flower are button are also from the Shabby Vintage collection.

I used Coredinations card to cut the bird and cage (Tim Holtz die) and added a piece of Candi at the top.

The sentiment is from a new release of oval, elegant and circle messages by Craftwork Cards.

Shabby Vintage Friend

This was made using an 8" x 8" card blank which I covered with a full sheet  of Shabby Vintage paper.  The belt, flowers, buttons and foiled letters are from the same collection as is the paper I used for the pinwheel flower.

Sunday 30 October 2011

Shabby Vintage

I used Shabby Vintage papers from Craftwork Cards for this card.  The belt, buckle, flower and button are also from the same collection.

The Candi that I used is made from chipboard and I coloured it with a gold Dabber.  I also used this Dabber round the edge of the panels.

Saturday 29 October 2011

Shabby Vintage Chocolate

I covered this chocolate bar using Shabby Vintage paper, a Shabby Vintage belt with a pinwheel flower that I made with my Hougie Board.

I've also made a card to match this which I will post in the next few days.

Hanging Baubles

A very simple card made from three baubles cut with the Spellbinders Heirloom Ornament dies.  I drew lines with a silver ProMarker to create the effect that the baubles are hanging.  The sentiment and punched scallop circle are attached to the card with foam pads.

Friday 21 October 2011

Frosty Blue Bauble

I cut the bauble using the largest of the Heirloom Ornament dies and added crystals and blue Candi to it.  The bauble is attached to the card using foam pads to give dimension.

Thursday 20 October 2011

Dimensional Bauble

I used one of the Spellbinders Heirloom Ornament dies to cut the bauble in 3 different Frosty papers.  Then I scored down the centre of each and stuck them together before adding a loop of grosgrain ribbon to the top.

Frosty Easel Card

I made this using an Elegant Square easel card from Craftwork Cards.  The image of Frosty fits nicely in the centre.

Tuesday 18 October 2011

Warren and Friend

Another easel card, this time using Warren and his friend the reindeer.  I cut the image with a Spellbinders Blossom die, cut a larger matching shape in green and attached the image to this.

The paper is from the Craftwork Cards 'Very Merry' collection.

Monday 17 October 2011

Warren Easel Card

Here's an easel card using a Warren image from Craftwork Cards.  I cut the image using a Spellbinders Blossom die and then cut a larger version in navy pearlescent card to attach the image to.

The papers are from the Craftwork Cards 'Frosty' collection.

Frosty Tree

This tree was made using Frosty papers by Craftwork Cards.  It's done by folding squares and is actually easy once you know how!

Warren - Happy Birthday

A quick card made using one of the pre-coloured Warren images and co-ordinating scalloped circles and Cottontail papers.

Wednesday 28 September 2011

New Job

I made this card to wish a friend good luck in their new job. The letters are stickers that I have had for years!  I stuck them onto randomly shaped pieces of blue card and mounted three of these on black (all card from Craftwork Cards).

The scan doesn't show this but the plain blue pieces are attached with a glue pen so are flat, but the ones with the black edge are mounted on foam pads to add dimension.

The stars and circles are punched and I used to foam pads to stick the buttons on.

Clever Boy

This is the finished project from my post a few days ago.  I was going to make up an Easy Peasy box to put these in but I used Bendicks Bittermints which are quite big and I wouldn't have been able to fit them all in.

Each mint is sandwiched between two red scalloped circles, the top on has a punched black circle in the centre and then I used foam pads to attach the Alphabits.

I made these for a friend who is a Manchester United fan, hence the colour choice.

Sweet Meadow Chocolate Bar

Here is a bar of chocolate that I decorated to go with yesterday's birthday card.  I wrapped a piece of Sweet Meadow paper round the bar and fastened it with double sided tape.  I then added a strip of the embossed rose paper and finished off with a pinwheel flower matching the one on the birthday card.

Sunday 25 September 2011

Sweet Meadow Birthday Card

This birthday card took me ages to make as I decoupaged all of the elements on the paper.  I didn't realise how long it would take to cut all of the images out.

I used a clear glittery Gelly Roll pel to highlight parts of the images.  The pinwheel flower in the centre was made using a 2.5cm wide strip of Sweet Meadow paper scored at 0.5cm intervals.  I then folded this into a concertina, stuck the two ends together, pushed it into shape and stuck it to a punched circle of card (using Glossy Accents) to keep it in place.  I also used Glossy Accents to attach the In Circle message.

Blogger App

I'm trying out the Blogger App on my iPhone.

Here's a picture of some work in progress. I'll post pictures when the project is finished.

Warren Looking Especially Cute

I think this is one of my favourite images of Warren - he looks so cute on here.  The image is cut with a Spellbinders Blossom die and mounted on green card cut with same die.

When Warren Got Stuck Up the Chimney ...

Another quick card using a Christmas Warren die cut.

I scanned this over a piece of blue card to show the notches in the four corners of the card.

Sunday 28 August 2011

Warren and Holly

I don't often say this but I really like this card.  You can't tell from the image but I cut away a panel from the front of the card.  The text paper and the sentiment are actually attached to the inside of the card.

Warren was originally in a scallop circle but I die cut him using a Spellbinders Blossom die and mounted the image on a panel of red card cut with the next size of the same die.

Saturday 27 August 2011

Mini Warren

This was made with a Back to Basics DL blank from Craftwork Cards.  The paper isn't quite long enough to fit across the card so I cut it into two pieces and stuck them on lining one piece up with the left hand edge and one with the right hand edge so there was a gap in the middle.  This gap was hidden by putting the Mini Elegant Rectangle over it.

Thursday 25 August 2011

ATC - Y

Yellow seemed to be the obvious choice for 'Y'.  The flowers are cut using the Spellbinders Carnation dies and the swirls are cut using a Tim Holtz flourish die.

The text stamp is by A Bird in the Hand and was used to stamp over a backround paper.

Tuesday 23 August 2011

Tipsy Warren

I cut one of the the Christmas Warren images using a Blossom die and matted it onto pearlescent red card also cut with the Blossom die.

Check out the Candi - it has small gold foiled spots on it!

Monday 22 August 2011

Warren - Merry Xmas

This is an 8 by 8 card using Very Merry Bunting across the top.  The trees across the bottom are also actually bunting but used upside down.

Sunday 21 August 2011

Christmas Warren

A quick card using Very Merry products and a small Christmas Warren.

Thursday 11 August 2011

Thinking of You

I scored the front of an Elegant Square blank and folded back the right hand section for this card.  I think the rest of it is fairly self explanatory.

The muted colours work well with the white flowers and sentiment.

Happy Birthday Sue

A little birdie told me that Sue Taylor from Craftwork Cards has a special birthday today!  This card is very similar to the one I made for Julie a couple of weeks ago for her special birthday but this is a completely different colour scheme.

Happy Birthday Sue, hope you have a lovely day xx

Tuesday 9 August 2011

Warren and his Friend

This image of Warren originally was a top notch shape but I cut it with a Blossom  Spellbinders die then attached it to red pearlescent card which was also cut with a Blossom die.

Monday 8 August 2011

Merry & Bright

For this card I used rub ons to spell 'Merry' on the bunting and attached it to the card with Candi along the top edges.  I then spelt out '& bright' using lime green rub ons and attached three self-adhesive crystals to finish off the card.

Sunday 7 August 2011

Christmas Warren

I received the new kit of the month from Craftwork Cards yesterday - this month the theme is Christmas Warren and he has some new friends who feature on the products.

For this card I attached three of the Warren mini die cut images to mini elegant squares.  The two outside squares are mounted on foam pads but I used double sided tape on the centre on - this added dimension to the card.  The Candi is called Very Merry and has gold foiled spots on it.

Tuesday 2 August 2011

21st Birthday

Here is a 21st Birthday card that I have made.  I embossed the numbers with the Cuttlebug Distressed Stripes embossing folder and then painted them using a silver Tim Holtz Dabber.

I used strong double sided tape to stick the numbers to the card and then added the Heartfelt Flowers with In Circle messages in their centres.  These were attached with foam pads (1mm where they overlap the number and 2mm elsewhere so the flower is level).

The card is finished off with black grosgrain ribbon around the spine.

Sunday 31 July 2011

Super Star

A simple card made using Fruit Scoop and Ice Cream Parlour paper and the lovely new Alphabits.  I punched the star using a Stampin' Up punch in card that matches the Candi.

Wednesday 27 July 2011

Happy Birthday Julie

Today Julie Hickey celebrates a special birthday and here is the card I have made for her.  I hope she likes it - I'm sure she will as she likes purple, daisies and crystals, and the Candi I have used is called Julie!

Happy Birthday Julie, hope you have a fabulous day xxx

Monday 25 July 2011

Charlie

I've made this card for a special little girl.  Charlie is 6 and she loves making cards with her grandma.  She also likes Craftwork Cards products so I thought I'd make her a card using Sweet Meadow and some of the items from the Classics kit of the month.

Sunday 24 July 2011

ATC - X

I chose Kisses as my theme for this - I really like this image which is stamped on Blonde Moments paper, mounted on black card and attached to the pearlescent grey main card with foam pads.

To finish off I added three pieces of black Candi.

Saturday 23 July 2011

Christmas Decoration

I made this Christmas decoration for the Craftwork Cards and Spellbinders cross promotional partnership.  The photos I took weren't too good so I've pinched these from the Craftwork Cards blog - thanks Julie!  It's really sparkly as the Candi is mirri silver and there's 80 crystals in total!

The designs are the same on the reverse side of the panels so this could hang in a window.  I actually had to remake the bottom panel as I dropped the decoration in the cats' water dish!  Fortunately it was only the bottom panel that was affected!!
